Below is a few helpful pointers;

  • Defrost fish in cold water - don’t leave out in the open (we live in a hot & humid country) - you’re fish will stay fresher...
     
  • Don’t refreeze any frozen product after it has defrosted....
     
  • Do not transport any frozen or fresh product without protection in hot weather....
     
  • When fish is defrosted, feel with your finger to check no bones are left behind...
     
  • Items such as fish cakes which are not breaded OR battered are deep fry from frozen only...
     
  • Breaded Scampi & Tempura prawns are also deep fry from frozen only...
     
  • Breaded or battered items such as fish, or fish cakes you cook from frozen only. Oven cook at 200 C / 450 F / Gas Mark 6, for 20 - 30 minutes until golden brown, or fry...
